Network management
What is network management, and what does it include?
For us, network management means taking responsibility for the smooth operation of your servers, computers, Wi-Fi, IP phones, and other components, to the extent we agree upon. At the start of every cooperation, we conduct an analysis of your network and propose concrete solutions. Our network management services include proactive monitoring of issues, suggestions for network development, and of course, delivering replacement parts, new equipment, or licenses, which we install, configure, and provide training for your staff. We ensure that nothing will disrupt your business.
Does a technician need to be on site every day?
We are able to set up systems so that many tasks can be handled remotely, saving customers transportation costs and shortening response times. However, sometimes solving a problem does require a technician’s physical presence. Based on an initial analysis, considering the size of the network, the number of users, and the customer’s individual needs, we agree on a specific cooperation model. It is possible to arrange terms fully optimized for the customer’s needs—from permanent presence of one or more technicians for large clients, through scheduled visit days and defined response times in case of issues, to a service contract option, where we guarantee intervention only on request without any fixed fees.
I have several offices in different cities, do I need to contact companies in each city?
Our company, e-invent, can provide service throughout the entire Czech Republic. We have clients in various locations, our technicians travel as needed, and we also work with several service partners. Therefore, we can take care of your network anywhere without any issues.
How do I know if my technology is outdated and needs replacing?
IT operations are often very important for a company. Ask yourself what it would mean—and how much it would cost—if your technology suddenly stopped working or if you lost all data stored on your computers and servers. In IT, it’s not entirely true that if something works, nothing needs to be done. For the average user, it’s difficult to know if their equipment is up to date, if all security updates are installed, etc. Even if everything seems to work fine, older encryption or security methods may be in use, making you an easy target for attacks. Especially nowadays, when much is said about cyberwarfare, it’s critical that all devices meet current standards; otherwise, you risk major problems that can occur suddenly and without warning. The best approach is to conduct a comprehensive audit of your entire network and technologies, which will reveal risks and provide recommendations. We also recommend continuously monitoring your equipment’s parameters and taking proper care of your devices. Innovation and attacks happen every day, and even an annual audit may not guarantee security.
What hardware are you able to supply?
We do not favor any specific manufacturer; we transparently present alternatives to customers, provide our recommendations, and explain their advantages and disadvantages. Our customers always freely decide what and where to purchase. We are able to source and supply anything legal from around the world.

I need a new website, but I have no idea where to begin. What do I need to set up a new website?
The first step to a new website is to consider what the website will be used for. Nowadays, a website acts as a business card, can be used for marketing campaigns, social networking, or as an e-shop. There are many ways to build and manage a website, so to make your website as useful as possible for your needs, it’s important to determine its main purpose in advance and how important a role it will play in your business. Will it just be a simple business card page for customers to contact you? Will it play a role in marketing campaigns? Or do you want it as the main provider of your services, for example as an e-shop?
These questions will determine not only how complex the website is to create but also what extra features it will need. With other steps like registering a domain, placing the site on a hosting server, or setting up email linked to your domain, e-invent can advise and assist you based on your specific needs.
How much does a website cost? What determines the price of website development?
The price of creating a website usually depends on how much time it takes to build. Some very simple websites can be completed in just a few working hours. More complex tasks can take several weeks. A simple rule for estimating the complexity: the more complex and feature-rich the website, the longer—and therefore more expensive—its development.
The cost is also affected by your level of participation. This includes whether you will add the content, texts, and graphics to the website yourself, or whether you want the web developer to manage everything for you. For a more accurate estimate, e-invent will be happy to provide a quote based on your needs.
What can a new website do?
The functionality of the website is entirely up to you as the client. The website can simply monitor visitor statistics or serve as an information and marketing tool. Modern web creation tools, such as WordPress, support a wide variety of extensions and features. The website can also be adapted over time to suit changing needs and purposes. You simply need to decide what you want your website to achieve for your business.
What is a domain, how do I get it, and how is it connected to web hosting?
A domain is a unique virtual address under which your website will be registered and by which your internet users will find you. The domain can be a simple address like www.e-invent.eu, or it can branch out to more addresses leading to the same site or several related web applications. Because the domain must be unique, it is necessary to register it and regularly pay the registration fee. This ensures the address remains in your “ownership” and that no one else can use it for their website. You can register web hosting yourself or have it done by your website administrator on your behalf.
Web hosting is, simply put, the rental of physical space for your website on a specific server, where all the website’s data are stored. The web hosting provider may or may not also manage the hosted website. The server owner who provides web hosting mainly ensures that the website is accessible for viewing, and if they also handle management, can provide other services as well.
In summary, the domain and web hosting are the two most important elements for operating a website. Without hosting, your website cannot be accessed by the public, and without a domain, your website cannot be found online.
What about graphic design? Do I have to have an idea or sample already?
It’s always better if the client has some idea of how the website should look. Whether it’s inspiration from another website or a direct design from a graphic artist, having a vision helps not only in estimating the required effort but also in development.
Of course, if you don’t have an idea, e-invent can provide graphic services from professional designers for you.
Is it possible to influence how visible my website is in search engines, and if so, how?
Yes, you can influence both the visibility and position of your website in search engines. There are various ways to achieve this, whether it’s through paid promotion by the search engine, or by optimizing the content to cover as many relevant keywords in your field as possible
Is there a way to track website traffic? What is it useful for?
Website traffic is usually monitored using analytics cookies. This information helps you see how well your website is fulfilling the goals you have set.

At e-invent, we primarily focus on providing ICT services, whether it’s software development or network management. How do I set up an email account on a Windows computer?
If you want to add your e-invent email account to Outlook, you will need the incoming mail server (POP3/IMAP) and outgoing mail server (SMTP) settings, which you can find below. Open the Outlook application, and on the File tab, click Add Account.
In the newly opened window, enter your full email address in the Email Address field, click Advanced options, check the box Allow me to set up my account manually, and click Connect.
Enter your password and click Connect. In the newly opened Choose Account Type window, select IMAP.
On the IMAP account settings screen, use the following incoming and outgoing mail server settings:
Incoming mail settings (POP3/IMAP): server: postak.e-invent.eu, SSL: YES, port: 995/993.
Outgoing mail settings (SMTP): server: postak.e-invent.eu, SSL: YES, port 465, authentication same as for POP3/IMAP. Click Next.
This completes the account setup, confirm by clicking OK. Your messages stored in the account will then synchronize and display.
For the Thunderbird application, the process is as follows. Start Mozilla Thunderbird and in the top right corner click the application menu icon. Click Account Settings, then Account Actions, and select Add Mail Account.
Enter your name, email address, and password and click Manual Setup.
In manual setup, enter the required information for IMAP and SMTP:
Incoming mail settings (POP3/IMAP): server: postak.e-invent.eu, SSL: YES, port: 995/993.
Outgoing mail settings (SMTP): server: postak.e-invent.eu, SSL: YES, port 465, authentication same as for POP3/IMAP.
After entering the details, click Re-test. Once the settings check is complete, click Done—the account setup is complete.
You can also access your email via the web at https://posta.e-invent.eu/, where you simply enter your email address and password to log in.
How do I set up an email account on a Mac computer?
Open the Apple Mail application and in the menu, click Add Account. In the newly opened window Select a Mail Account Provider, choose Add Other Mail Account and click Continue.
A new window will open where you fill in the Name field—the name you enter will be visible to message recipients. In the Email Address field, enter your full email address, and in the Password field, enter your password. Then click Sign In.
After signing in, a notification will appear stating Account Name or Password could not be verified. You will need to enter the server settings manually by filling in the following fields. In the User field, enter your full email address. For Account Type, select IMAP, and in both Incoming Mail Server and Outgoing Mail Server fields enter: postak.e-invent.eu. After entering these details, click Sign In.
How do I set up an email account on an Android phone?
To connect your account, you will need the following server settings:
Incoming mail settings (POP3/IMAP): server: postak.e-invent.eu, SSL: YES, port: 995/993.
Outgoing mail settings (SMTP): server: postak.e-invent.eu, SSL: YES, port 465, authentication same as for POP3/IMAP.
If you are using the built-in Gmail app, the process is as follows. Open the Gmail app and go to Settings. Select Add account and choose Other. Enter your full email address and click Manual setup. Enter your password and click Next. Enter the settings for the incoming mail server and also configure the outgoing mail server. You can find these settings above. Follow the on-screen instructions, including security permissions. You may also be prompted to set up synchronization and display name. If you are using Microsoft 365 for business, you may be asked for additional security verification. If so, select Activate, and open your inbox. If you receive a message with the subject „Action Required,“ open the email and click the link Use another mail app instead to allow synchronization with the Gmail app.
If you use the Samsung Email app, go to Settings in the app and select Add account. Enter your full email address and password and click Manual setup. Choose the IMAP account type. Fill in the incoming and outgoing mail server settings. After clicking Sign in, your email setup is complete. You may also be prompted to set up synchronization and display name. If you use Microsoft 365 for business, you may be asked for additional security verification. If so, select Activate.
How do I set up an email account on an iOS mobile device?
To connect your account, you will need the following server settings:
Incoming mail settings (POP3/IMAP): server: postak.e-invent.eu, SSL: YES, port: 995/993.
Outgoing mail settings (SMTP): server: postak.e-invent.eu, SSL: YES, port 465, authentication same as for POP3/IMAP.
If you are using the Mail app, go to your device’s Settings, find Mail – Accounts and select Add Account. In the window with account types, choose Other and then Add Mail Account. Fill in your Name, enter your full email address in the Email field, add your Password and Description, and confirm by tapping Next in the top right corner. Fill in the appropriate fields for the incoming and outgoing mail servers, and continue by tapping Next. Now, in the list of accounts, open the newly added account and edit the SMTP server for outgoing mail. Activate Use SSL with authentication set to Password and server port 465. Save the settings by tapping Done. In the account editing, click on Advanced, where you activate Use SSL in Incoming Mail Settings. Authentication will again be set to Password and server port 995/993. The setup is now complete.
How do I remotely connect an e-invent technician?
To allow a technician from e-invent to connect to your computer remotely, you need to download a remote management program—TeamViewer. You can download the program using the provided links for Windows here or Mac OS here. Installation is not required, and the program works even without a fixed public IP address. After launching the program, a window with your ID and password will appear. Send this information to the e-invent technician, who will then connect to your computer remotely.
How do I submit a request to the Helpdesk?
The Helpdesk service is used for online communication when providing support to end users. It is available seven days a week and can be accessed via a web interface. You can submit your question or request directly on the e-invent Helpdesk webpage by clicking the Create New Request button, where you will provide your email, contact information, and a description of your issue or request. Each Helpdesk request is assigned a number under which it is processed, and which you can use to track the status of your request. You can also submit a request by email to helpdesk@e-invent.eu.
